Here are some brief comments from Monday’s practice.

*Monday marked the the team’s third straight day of two a day practices. Miles Austin told me his leg were starting to get tired. I’m sure all of the players love the cranked up AC in the Alamodome right about now. The AC in that building is outstanding.

*Roy Williams took a big hit from Orlando Scandrick in the morning practice. However, it appears that Scandrick took the worst of it as he bit his bottom lip on the play.

*Sam Hurd was quoted in the local paper saying that Felix Jones can be “Ten times better than Brian Westbrook”. Cowboys fans would be happy if he was off by 9.

*The team practiced their red zone offense and defense for the first time at training camp. In the morning, the defense won the contest but the offense appeared to have bounced back strong in the afternoon.

4th and Inches
Mike Jenkins and Orlando Scandrick will continue to battle it out throughout training camp for the starting spot at corner. I see Jenkins getting the job but Scandrick being the bigger fan favorite. Speaking of fan favorites, I posted a Jesse Holley story on my youtube site, www.youtube.com/mrod1053, and wouldn’t you know it got over 3,000 hit’s this past month. I guess their is a big market for that kind of crap. Did radio kill the video star or do I have that backwards?

Most of the people at the Fan are witty and enjoyable to listen to, although the arrogance of some folks at the station( and if I was there, I’d be looking in Richie’s direction) can be annoying at times.

Seriously, since when did having a degree in journalism qualify one as some sort of expert on relevant political, social, etc, issues?

My favorite show on 105.3 is the Gavin & Gregg show. Gavin being my favorite. I like Arnie’s show next best.
