Here are some brief comments from Tuesday’s practice.

*After three straight days of two a days, the Cowboys had a very fast paced and exciting afternoon practice. Highlights included a Marc Columbo vs Jay Ratliff scuffle and on the same play an interception by Bobby Carpenter. Romo was the qb at the time.

It’s finally August, which means that football season is almost underway. Now is the time for analysts to spend hours debating over who they think the best college football teams in the country are.

That’s way too much time to spend guessing about rankings that will look completely different a few weeks into the season. I prefer to spend my time on a more rewarding rankings that don’t flip flop nearly as much.

He drafts only guys from his favorite NFL team….no matter how crappy the team might be. You know, that guy who’s a die-hard Lions fan and he’s sincerely smiling when he grabs QB Matt Stafford in the third round.

If you’re a fan of ESPN’s College Game Day: Lee Corso Not Letting Mild Stroke Slow Him Down

There was some scary news this past spring, but after some time off, Lee Corso has recovered a mild stroke that he suffered. According to the Orlando Sentinel, Corso is doing well and will be returning to College Gameday, once the season gets underway….
